Trapezium House South Lanarkshire

A stand alone three bedroomed house sitting within greenbelt land in South Lanarkshire. It reflects in scale, footprint and roof pitch the traditional white harled farm steadings which pepper the beautiful rolling landscape. This traditional form is subverted in the material finish, however, with black flamed timber forming the primary building envelope.

Folds into the trapezium shaped plan are made in a contrasting pre-treated western red cedar. Rooms are lined along the east side of the plan, providing them all with unobstructed views over the landscape beyond.
