We are thrilled to announce that we have recently been selected through a formal ITT process to design the new Rowing Centre at Strathclyde Park for Edinburgh University. Our team, which includes Bergmark Architects, Harley Haddow and David Adamson, will soon commence designs for a building which supports Edinburgh University Boat Club's outstanding rowing programme.
Edinburgh University Boat Club has become in recent years the leading rowing club in Scotland, and one of the top universities in the world for high performance rowing. They presently have seven athletes and coaches representing Great Britain at the Under 23 World Championships. They have outgrown their boat house in Meggetland, and have been tenants in the existing boathouses at Strathclyde Park for over ten years.
This boathouse, therefore, is a significant piece of the jigsaw in supporting the University's rowing programme as a fully world-class offer.
We look forward to sharing with you the designs as they take shape in the coming months.
